Hey, we're flossy 👋

We share the belief that prioritizing pleasure fundamentally impacts the way we connect with ourselves and the world around us. Together, we aim to create a unique space where everyone feels worthy of exploring what feels good.

Aussie/American best friends turned business partners, we share the belief that prioritizing pleasure fundamentally impacts the way we connect with ourselves and the world around us. Together, we aim to create a unique space where everyone feels worthy of exploring what feels good.

In May of 2020, we dreamt up flossy while sitting on the beach just outside of Brisbane, Australia. Caroline was recapping her recent experience in a local sex shop buying a vibrator and couldn't believe that there weren't any better shops for women to buy sex toys.

Why did most sex shops have such a seedy vibe? Hypersexualized product names and storefront imagery, dusty lube containers, and the inevitable wall of products to choose from – nothing about the experience left Caroline feeling good.

We started flossy because we wanted to completely transform the experience around buying sex toys. The combination of sub-par (and often fear mongering) sex ed, male-centric porn and a sex toy buying experience that reinforces the idea that sex is dirty and should be kept a secret, left us with no other option than to do something about it.

flossy is female-founded sex shop centering pleasure, not sex.

After taking a deep dive into the world of sexual wellness products, one thing was very clear. Most products weren't designed with women and people with vulvas in mind. In an industry that's run by 70% cis-men, it seems to make sense that products have names like Womanizer and Fuck Me Silly.

Through our research, we came across incredible female-founded sex toy brands like Dame, Rosewell, Le Wand & Lora DiCarlo who are creating beautifully designed, sleek products that women feel proud to display on their bedside table.

At flossy, we take great care in choosing the brands and products we stock. All of which reinforce the idea the pleasure for pleasure's sake is nothing to feel ashamed of.

What's your favourite flossy product?

Annie: Let's be honest — my go to has always been and will always be Le Wand Feel My Power. When we first started flossy, I NEVER imagined owning a sex toy this large, but the more time we've spend in the land of sex toys, the more I've realized how freaking cool Le Wand's custom designed vibes are. The artist collaborations are the cherry on top of one of the most poweful vibes I've ever used. This is a GO-TO you'll never regret investing in. Plus it perfect to whip out for karaoke night! 😎

Caroline: Well since Annie took my first true love, I'm gonna have to go with the mindblowing Baci by Lora DiCarlo. While, visually, it's not quite as sleek as Melt or Aer, Baci is by FAR the most powerful suction vibrator on the market. At first I was confused about the size and shape, but the secondary raised edge below the hole sits perfectly between the labia to provide broad, rumbly vibrations while the suction is also working... and let me just say... WOW. Plus I love that once you're done and you've cleaned it, it has a perfect little clip on cover to keep it protected. Could not reccomend enough!

Any last thoughts?

We love nothing more than helping people find their unique pleasure and we want to make your exprience shopping for products seemless and feel good. For this reason, we offer free 1:1 product consultations where we walk you through the entire flossy product range and answer any questions you might have.

Hello there!

My name is Kaya and I’m currently working on a story for Fashion Journal about anal beads. I was wondering if you’d be interested in a short-but-sweet telephone interview sometime. If so, let me know and I can set something up!

Thanks,
